Only a few film franchises have gained as much interest as received by the Harry Potter Series. Over the course of 8 Harry Potter movies released within 10 years, Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley, characters played by Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grit, enjoyed the love of billions. Having an unprecedented box office success, the Harry Potter series had marked its twentieth anniversary yesterday. Yes, it is hard to believe that Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s stone, the first movie of the Harry Potter series, has already marked its 20th anniversary. 

JK Rowling’s Harry Potter book series first transferred to the screen in 2001 with the premiere of The Cursed Child. The first movie of the Harry Potter Series dominated billions of hearts and also became the ideal example of what a book-to-movie transformation should look like. Directed by Chris Columbus- Harry Potter movies make a permanent place in fans’ hearts while introducing many unknown stars to the world. 

The special will drop on HBO Max on the New Year (1st January 2022) at midnight. Later, the special will be premiered on Cartoon Network and TBS during the spring of the year 2022.

According to Warner’s Media Press Release: The 20th anniversary will mark a special: Return to Hogwarts, in which Harry, Emma, and Ron will return to Hogwarts. Furthermore, fans of the Harry Potter movies will have a chance to go behind the scenes to see how the epic Harry Potter movies have been made. The special Return to Hogwarts features new interviews and cast conversations. Further, this makes the special a must-watch for the diehard Harry Potter movies fans. 

Making the hot news more interesting, Warner’s Media has also shared the list of additional cast members. Furthermore, these cast members will be a part of the upcoming special: Return to Hogwarts. These names include: 

  • Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange),
  • Robbie Coltrane (Rubeus Hagrid), 
  • Gary Oldman (Sirius Black), 
  • Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy),

How to watch the Return to Hogwarts trailer on HBO Max

To watch the Harry Potter 20th year Special: Return to Hogwarts, you can sign up for HBO Max. The HBO Max subscription plan with ads costs $9.99/month. However, if you want no disruptions while watching the Harry Potter series 20th-anniversary celebration special, then choose the ad-free plan for $14.99/month.

Both of these plans will allow you to watch the special and thus, the choice is entirely yours. Also, this special isn’t a part of Warner’s Media theatrical releases, and therefore, you don’t have to worry about the 2021 restrictions.
